We’ve been waiting for you to come aboard and join us for the 42nd Southeast Regional Institute on Deafness (SERID) Conference! Our theme is, “All Aboard for Employment!” The dates for the conference are October 16 - 19, 2012. We will be posting new information from time to time so keep on stopping by our website (www.serid2012.org) to see what is new. Currently, we are planning to have 3 dynamic plenary speakers, 59 informative workshops, wonderful cultural enrichment, top notch exhibits, thrilling awards, and a lot of opportunities for crucial networking.
We will have pertinent subjects taught by highly respected professionals who represent their careers in:

Deaf-Blindness
Technology
Mental Health
Education
Continuing Educational Units (CEU’s) will be offered to Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Sign Language Interpreters/Transliterators, Educators, and Mental Health Professionals. With 7 breakout sessions and 59 workshops, there will be plenty from which to choose! On our website, click on “Schedule” on the top toolbar to see what we have planned for you. Please click “Letter” to read and print out a letter that can be used to encourage and to educate your supervisor and co-workers as to why SERID 2012 is where you need to be.
